NewSPAL’s collection is available for hire by any individual (chamber, sheet, scores and books) or anywhere in the UK by groups (drama or music sets). Browsing of the catalogues, whether online or in person at the Library, is free.
We have two separate catalogues.
The Sets catalogue is for drama and music groups wishing to borrow multiple copies of the same item and for orchestral/band sets.
The Individual items catalogue holds our extensive range of chamber music, song collections, instrument tutors, full and miniature scores, drama anthologies, and a huge variety of books on the performing arts.

Individual users will pay an Annual Membership fee of £24 (concessions £12*)
Membership gives you access to the full collection of individual items without further charge. A maximum of 8 items may be borrowed at any one time. The loan period is 21 days and renewals will be possible, subject to any requests by other users.
We will need to verify your identity and address before any lending takes place and will contact you for this purpose.
Late returns
Fees will be levied for late returns at 50p per day.
Lost items
Lost items will be subject to a replacement charge.
